Multispecies Succession is a research project that gathers interdisciplinary perspectives from the social and life sciences as well as the humanities to reinvigorate the concept of succession and explore its usefulness to address fundamental questions about multispecies politics, ruptures, and continuities across generations.

Reinvigorating succession and exploring its usefulness to address fundamental questions about multispecies relations and intergenerational continuity, this project brings together scholars calling for paradigm shifts to respond to global challenges including the fragility of life on a devastated planet.

The project is being run by Professor Rebecca Cassidy, William Wyse Professor of Social Anthropology, University of Cambridge and Dr Sally Montgomery, Post-Doctoral Research Associate, Department of Social Anthropology, University of Cambridge.
